Shernise Khor

Shernise is a Singaporean singer and songwriter, inspired by God to inspire others through the talents she has been blessed with. One who simply loves God and music, Shernise decided to pursue both. Faithfully capturing God-inspired lyrics and melodies in her journals since she was young, it was not only after a few years of persuasion from close friends and a final nudge from God did she decide to do something with them.

In 2009, Shernise took a giant leap of faith. With the support of 3 very special friends, Kevin (guitars), Donovan (percussion) and Jeff (recording and sound guru), Shernise decided to record her first album and share her songs with others, in hope that her music will touch the hearts of people and lead them to a search for something greater in life, and eventually – to God. Her debut album, ‘Finding You’, features a collection of songs written through her own rollercoaster ride of life that speak to the heart and point others to the One who satisfies.

“I start with questions, I end with answers.” Her journey through life’s very real questions brought her to the reality of God, and what lies at the heart of her music is this desire of hers to bless and impact others with what she had learnt through her own journey.

Shernise will be pursuing a music degree abroad. Besides enjoying writing songs, singing, playing the piano, cello and guitar, some of her hobbies include spending time with family and friends, having a good laugh at “Mind Your Language” and “Whose Line Is It Anyway”, playing computer games, journaling, taking photos, cycling, and a whole lot of other things that make life just a little brighter.
